IN GOOD COMPANY

An archive of curated gatherings, shared moments and experiences worth remembering.

A collection of self-initiated social experiences born from a simple truth: my love language is time spent together.

From concept to execution, each gathering explores how creative direction can shape the interaction, meaning and atmosphere surrounding an occasion; turning an idea into pictures, smiles, memories, and the kind of receipts only good company can conjure.

Before She Says I Do

Wedding planning comes with a seemingly endless list of decisions, expectations and things to do. For a bride who wanted nothing more than a spa day, the idea was simple: create an opportunity to unwind, reconnect and enjoy a little calm before the celebration.

Before She Says I Do was conceived as an intimate, easygoing bridal shower that prioritized rest, laughter and quality time. Set in a spa, the experience stripped away the formalities of a traditional bridal shower in favour of thoughtful details, personalized keepsakes and moments worth remembering.

The creative direction followed the same philosophy. A restrained two-colour palette, minimalist line illustrations and a recurring Before I Do tagline created a cohesive visual identity across the event.

At its heart, the concept was about celebrating the bride without adding another thing to her to-do list.

ART DIRECTION

STRIPPED BACK . THOUGHTFULLY PERSONAL

The visual direction reflected the bride's desire for a relaxed, uncomplicated celebration.

A two-colour palette of orange and blue established a consistent identity, while minimalist line illustrations kept the designs playful without overwhelming the spa's calming atmosphere.

The recurring Before I Do tagline connected each customized item, creating a shared visual language across the experience.

EXECUTION

A LITTLE SOMETHING FROM EVERYONE.

Each guest received a curated gift bag containing custom keepsakes and practical essentials for the day. Every item was selected to be both functional and reflective of the experience, with the intention of making guests active participants rather than simply attendees.

The disposable cameras invited everyone to capture the celebration from their own perspective. Without the instant gratification of a digital preview, guests could take a photograph and return to the moment, leaving the memories to be rediscovered once the film was developed.

To make the bags even more personal, each guest was invited to contribute an item for everyone else, choosing from a suggested list of treats and self-care favourites.

What began as a collection of individually designed details became a shared gesture of appreciation, with everyone contributing to the experience and the memories they would take home.

THE QUEEN'S DECK

Every queen deserves her own deck.

The custom playing cards reimagined a traditional deck around the bride and her bridal shower crew.

Each guest received a personalized deck featuring herself as the Queen of Diamonds, Clubs and Spades, with the bride taking her place as the Queen of Hearts.

The bride's deck reversed the arrangement: she appeared as the Queen of Diamonds, Clubs and Spades, while the Queen of Hearts featured a photograph of her surrounded by her bridal shower crew.

The result was a personalized keepsake that celebrated each guest individually while keeping the bride and her friendships at the heart of the experience.

THE TAKEAWAY

AN EXPERIENCE DOESN'T HAVE TO BE EXTRAVAGANT TO BE MEMORABLE.

Before She Says I Do was an exercise in creating meaning through simplicity, personalization and intentional design. From the smallest keepsake to the overall atmosphere, each element was developed to support the same idea: a celebration that felt effortless, personal and true to the bride.

The project reinforced my approach to experiential design: start with the person, understand what matters to them, and let that guide the experience.
